Substance Abuse & Addictive Disorder Services
The qualified and professional staff at Central Iowa Psychological Services know that the journey toward recovery is an ongoing process. Recognizing that each individual has specific needs and goals, treatment is customized to specific life situations. Addiction affects the whole family in very destructive ways. This destructive cycle must be broken so that the journey toward recovery can begin.
Our substance abuse services utilize a cognitive-behavioral and relapse prevention approach that is individualized to each person and helps them to explore the underlying needs that may be driving their substance use. This serves to help the individual to learn other ways to address these needs rather than substances. Our services use both individual exploration and group support to help move past the struggles with substances.
All addiction services are provided by licensed and certified professionals, and CIPS is licensed by the Iowa Department of Public Health to treat both adolescents and adults.
